Idiopathic scoliosis in 17 years old female patient.

Surgical plan including T4-L2 posterior instrumentation

Open surgery

Totally 16 pedicle screws placed.

Left side: 11 pedicle screws, and every 3rd screw was used as a monoplanar screw.

Right side: 5 pedicle screws

  • In the thoracic spine: Ø5mm screws used
  • In the lumbar spine:  Ø6mm screws used

Rod contouring, correction and placement

Rods: 400mm titanium

Time of surgery: 2 ½ hours
