Cully start-up reinvents back surgery tools

Neo Medical SA raised 13.2 million francs to boost its kit which simplifies spine surgery.

Surgical operations on the spine require up to 450 screws of different types and sizes, and a variety of instruments filling more than a dozen trays. Founded in Cully in 2013, Neo Medical has developed a new tool kit box for surgeons that includes only 14 modular implant screws and five instruments. It makes it possible to carry out most interventions (open or minimally invasive) of spine surgery.
