Patient Information
Male 75 years old patient sustained a vertebral distraction fracture in level T8.
Patient´s bone quality was good
Planned Surgery:
- Posterior fixation T6 – T10
- Lateral percutaneous access
- Fracture reduction T8 – plan was 10° correction
- Neo ADVISE™ trauma module to be used

Intra OP

Posterior fixation with Neo Pedicle Screw System™
Totally 8 pedicle screws placed over the 4 levels T6-T10
- T6 – 2 x Ø5.0×40 mm polyaxial
- T7 – 2 x Ø5.0×40 mm monoaxial
- T9 – 2 x Ø6.0×45 mm monoaxial
- T10 – 2 x Ø6.0×45 mm polyaxial

Rod selection
Titanium rods 2 x 130 mm straight

Adjusting angle to be corrected: for this case -10° correction to close the fracture gap

Rod bending using the rod visualization in the iPad screen as template for both the sagittal and the coronal planes.

Radiographs after final fixation of the posterior constructions




Post OP

Post OP radiograph and CTs
- Intra OP Blood loss: 100 ml
- Duration of surgery: 90 min
- Neurological status: No neurovascular deficit
- Patient was discharged from the hospital after 9 days
